About Wales on Horseback

Wales on Horseback is a non-profit making co-operative run by volunteers. We arrange Bed and Breakfast holidays for riders who wish to bring their own horses on holiday with them, riding from host to host each day.

We have been supported by Cadwyn Clwyd and are made up of riders and accommodation providers, equestrian and working farming families as well as rural Inns and established Bed and Breakfast providers. We tailer-make the rides between our hosts to suit the needs and experience of each group.

In conjunction with the British Horse Society and local councils we work to maintain and safeguard the local bridleways, helping to reduce the need for riders to use busy roads. Our well-researched routes pass through wonderful hillside scenery with far reaching views. They use open sheep-grazed hillsides and remote upland byways as well as bridleways and tracks through woodland and across farmland, linked together by quiet rural lanes.

We would be pleased to welcome you to the magic of riding in Wales.

Feedback from 2007 Customers

This holiday far exceeds any other Riding Holiday we have taken, not only the riding but also the accommodation.

Brilliant- we thought the whole holiday was superb, we felt good to be supporting an ethically sound venture.

We all really enjoyed our two days and have already been recommending     "Wales on Horseback"

Fantastic accommodation, beautiful scenery and a very happy daughter! We'll be back.
